The Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) enables the VA to provide resources toward community-based suicide prevention efforts. This meets the needs of Veterans through outreach, suicide prevention services, connections to VA, and community resources.

In alignment with VA’s National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide (2018), this grant program assists in further implementing a public health approach that blends community-based prevention, with evidence-based clinical strategies through community efforts. The grant program is part of the Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act of 2019, signed into law on October 17, 2020

Golf
Golf can serves as therapy for military veterans by reducing stress, improving focus, encouraging physical activity, and creating social connections that combat isolation. The calm environment and structured play also support mental health and emotional healing.
Offshore & Onshore Fishing
Talomua - Taro farming
Offshore and onshore fishing activities provide Army veterans with more than just a catch – they offer relaxation, stress relief, and a sense of connection with nature and fellow veterans. A peaceful way to heal, bond, and build resilience beyond service.
Taro farming is helping military veterans gain financial stability through sustainable income, while also providing physical activity that promotes health and well-being. A meaningful way to grow strength both in the land and in life.
